RE: What tables have you owned and which were your favorites ?. If you have a spare in nice shape, let me know. I have to admit to having nearly as much fun playing with tables as I do listening to music.ĭoes anybody have a PL-12DII they would sell? I need one, for old times sake. When not spending a lot of money its easy to try a lot of tables as they are easily bought and sold. and maybe a TD-124 or one of the esteemed Garrards. I've never had an SL-1200 and really think I need to try one. lots of bang for the buck with those two. I really like the JVC QL-50 and the Luxman PD-272. with Sumiko FT-3 and Audio-Technica AT-OC9. I think the best sound came from the VPI Jr. My fondest memories are of the Pioneer PL-12DII, simply because it is the one that got me started on this crazy journey. My means usually kept me pretty far behind the current crop and only 4 or 5 of them were purchased as new. I've never owned anything exotic or very up-to-date. There have been many others, but I only count the ones that I was able to spend a decent amount of time with. To the best of my recollection, this is in chronological order. With it all starting in 1978 I've owned the following tables.
